Does Nickelodeon really think that by introducing a new ” tweenier ” Dora that they are going to be able to compete with the entertainment juggernaut that is Hannah Montana? Perhaps they are planning to have Dora try out for a musical , you know, at her high school ? I love the fact that my daughters (as well as my son – although he’d not admit to watching it) will be able to watch a smart, compassionate and confident thinker who enjoys learning (not just reading and writing I might add, she also likes math and science which we are supposed to be encouraging in our young girls. Tween Dora is not trashy, her entire body is covered up which is more than I can say for Preschool Dora who has had her little tummy hang out for years. read more
